Booking your Wedding
Weddings can be complicated, but we've tried to make things as simple as possible. All bookings for weddings in St Andrew's, St Augustine's, St Nicholas' and St Peter's are handled centrally through our Parish Office (see details on the right hand side of the page).
Who is this information for?
The arrangements on this page only apply if:
- neither of you have been married before
- one of you lives within the parish, or is on the electoral (membership) roll of one of our churches.
If the above don't apply to you then don't worry, please contact one of the clergy before you do anything else.
More information for those who have been previously married can be found here.
Provisional Booking
Please begin by ringing the Parish Office to enquire about dates and times. Weddings take place at three different times in Droitwich on a Saturday: 12.00pm, 2.oopm and 4.00pm. It is also possible to book on another day of the week, but most people prefer to be married on a Saturday. We are unable to take wedding bookings for Sundays.
The Parish Secretary, Mrs Jean Thompson, will inform you whether your preferred date is available, or if not, find a mutually acceptable alternative. She will make a provisional booking for the agreed date, time, and church. She will then send you a letter, together with a booking form. Your booking is only made firmly after you return this form together with a £50 (Fifty GBP) deposit. The letter will give you the details you need.
Confirmed booking
Once the completed form and deposit have been received, you will receive another letter, confirming the booking. You will also receive a printed guide to getting married in our parish, and a note of the current fees.
Change of plans?
If any of your details change — for example if you move house, you need to contact us as soon as possible.
If you need to postpone your wedding, you need to contact us as soon as possible.
If you need to cancel your wedding, then let us know immediately. If you cancel before we publish banns of marriage, we will return your deposit, less a £10 administration fee
