Weddings & Banns
If you have come to this page, then you are probably planning to get married, so first of all, congratulations!
Weddings can take place at any of our four church buildings in Droitwich (St Andrew's, St Augustine's, St Nicholas' and St Peter's) or at St Michael's Salwarpe or St Michael & All Angels Martin Hussingtree. We can help you to discover which are your parish churches (those you have an automatic right to get married in) and we will do all we can to help to make your wedding day happy and memorable.
Bookings for weddings in all four churches are handled through the Parish Office, so getting in touch is the best next step. We can then talk through the process as well as explore possible dates.
You may also like to look at Your Church Wedding, a website which explains lots about Church of England weddings and blessings, including answers to many of the questions that you may have.
We look forward to speaking to you and helping you prepare for your big day.
As the day approaches couples are invited to a 'Space to Think' session along with others who are preparing for their weddings. The session is very informal and gives the opportunity and space to think about your upcoming marriage and the vows that you are going to make.
Renewal of Vows
You may be considering renewing your
vows, perhaps for a significant anniversary or just to thank God for
your marriage. We can help you to arrange such a service. This page may help you think about whether this is right for you.
If you are getting married in a different Parish and have been told that you need to have your Banns read in your home Parish, then simply contact the Parish Office and we will talk you through the process.
