Would you please note that the Parish Office email address has changed and is now: droitwich.parish@o2.co.uk. Please update your address books accordingly!

Drop into Quietness

The next quiet day at St Augustine’s is on Saturday 11th July, 10am to 4pm.

Come and soak up the inspirational tranquillity of this ancient place of worship for a few minutes (or much longer), potter in the churchyard, take in the views, and enjoy some refreshments. If you would like to offer help with welcoming visitors on this day please contact Hazel Rose (773911)

Coffee & Questions (Our Community Review)

As part of our parish development planning we are starting the process of a community review. On the grounds that you should never ask others to do what you won't do yourself, we're beginning this at home, with our own church family before we take it out on the road.

Over the next few weeks, starting on Sun 28th June, someone at church will ask you if you can spare a few moments (usually over coffee and tea) after the service to sit down with them and answer some simple questions so that we can begin to build up a picture of how we fit into the community. You can do this anonymously if you want, although it would help us if you're willing to let us put a name to your answers.

For further information, and to download a copy of the questions we will be asking please follow THIS LINK.

Thanks for helping with this. Please feel free to complete the survey in your own time by following the instructions on the LINK if you would prefer.

New (Old) Computer WANTED

Have you upgraded your PC recently? Is the old one now sitting redundant and unloved in the attic? We badly need a new computer (or two) in the Parish Office. Can you help please? David Owen would be glad to hear from you.

Church Parents' Meeting - 22nd July

All parents whose children are involved in any of our church activities (eg Choir Club, Sunday Club and crèche, Toddler Group) are invited to get together over a glass of something and some nibbles on Wednesday 22nd July at 7.45pm at St Peter’s to talk about how we can develop creative provision for children in the parish. We’d like to hear what parents are looking for from the church for their children and what ‘works’ for families, as well as have opportunity to discuss how we involve children in worship and welcome them to the Eucharist. All who would like to support our children’s work are also warmly welcome to this meeting.

David's Ordination - 4th July

On Saturday 4th July David Morris will be ordained deacon in Worcester Cathedral at 3pm. We hope lots of people will come and support him on this great occasion, which is also a significant one for the whole parish as David moves into this ministry with us in Droitwich. Whilst everyone is welcome, if you would like a ticket to guarantee a seat in the cathedral please would you let the parish office know as soon as possible. Whether or not you can come to the service, please pray for David and his family as he prepares for ordination.
