St Mary's Chapel - Update

As mentioned in the posting of the 9th December a public consultation meeting on the future of St Mary’s Chapel, Droitwich Spa was held on Wednesday 13th January 2010, in the Community Hall at 7.30pm. Notes of the meeting can be read by CLICKING HERE. (You will require a PDF Reader).

The foodie season continues......

If you came to the last Pudding Evening you'll know that we promised an event after Christmas that would offer a whole meal, and here it is. On Saturday 6th February we'll be strolling through town, enjoying a four course dinner on the way. Starters will be at Nina and David's house and coffee and entertainment will be at the Parish Centre, with the rest of dinner in easy stages in between. Tickets will cost £8 for adults, £2 for under 12's and tiny tots free. Buy them from Nina (01905 771516 or nina.owen@dunelm.org.uk). If you can't manage the walk it's OK to stroll by car. If you can help cook or manage one stage of the meal, please let Nina know. More details to follow, but book the date now!

Sign up for a Retreat in Daily Life

Booking forms are now available in each church for this Lent opportunity.

It’s the ideal retreat for those who can’t go away on retreat, a chance to find some help with praying and to deepen your relationship with God, but within the routines of your everyday life. After an opening meeting for everyone taking part, you will agree to spend some time each day in personal prayer and then meet with your prayer guide every week. He or she will help you plan your prayer time and reflect on it afterwards. It's all absolutely confidential and you can share as much or as little as you wish with your guide. To find out more there is a taster session on Sunday 14th February at 4pm.

Opening meeting—Sunday 21st February at 4pm
Closing meeting—28th March at 4pm. (Venues tbc)
Meetings with prayer guides will be on Mondays 22nd February and 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd March, at times to be arranged.

Please book by 31st January.

Moving Prayer - Saturday 16th January

If you feel in need of a spiritual lift after Christmas then why not get out your ‘dancing shoes’ and come along to St Nicholas’ Church at 2.30pm on Saturday 16 January for a session of meditative circle dancing? Mary Callaway will lead us in simple steps and movements which will bring us to inner stillness. The session will cost £3.00, including light refreshments, and finish at approximately 4.45pm.
